Mind and Mood

You don't have to feel foggy or fuzzy.  Improve your mental health naturally.

Brain fog is the worst!  You bet I’ve experienced that after long study nights and early clinical mornings in naturopathic medical school.  Thank goodness I found myself a caring integrative doctor in those early years. Without natural medicine I dare say that life after medical school might look a whole lot different than the energy and focus I enjoy now.

I have since trained extensivley in the science and art of mind-body medicine, a term that I find somewhat comical:  as if we doctors ever imagined we could separate the two in the first place!

Your mind is your command center – think of it as headquarters.  It is in constant and direct connection with your body: facilitating learning, memory, emotions, directing hormone production, belaying messages from the organs about their status, and making words and actions appear so that we can interact with each other.  This all functions smoothly and efficiently in the background, until it doesn't.

If you want to experience better focus, better sleep, and better mood – you have come to the right place.  Lets find your root causes and natural solutions together for ADD, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, or Insomnia.  Each one of us is different – uniquely individual in the way we experience joy and sadness, success and failure.  I believe it is an error to think that one treatment will fit all – and this applies to natural medicines as well as conventional pharmaceuticals.

Take the example of St. John’s Wort and Prozac for the treatment of depression – I have found that either may work, or neither may work.  And what makes the difference?  The therapy must fit the whole-person, and it must address the root cause.  Otherwise we’ll get no results, temporary results which don't last, or worse: unwanted side effects.

This is common sense medicine, but I have found this holistic, integrative, patient-centered approach to reliably bring benefits and life changing results for people who have been suffering for too long.  If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, and you can’t quite figure out why, I want help.   I have seen depression manifest itself in so many ways: anxiety, sleeplessness, fatigue, sadness – and the solutions for each of these situations is unique, because each person is unique.
